As a Family Law Attorney, you’ll play a meaningful role in guiding clients through some of the most important transitions of their lives, combining strong advocacy with genuine empathy to help them move forward with confidence. In this role, you’ll manage family law cases from start to finish with the support of an experienced and collaborative team. You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely while maintaining autonomy over your cases, within a structured and well-supported environment. We’re looking for an attorney with at least three years of experience in Virginia family law, with a strong emphasis on litigation. The ideal candidate is confident in legal research, drafting, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy, and is equally skilled at building trust with clients through clear communication and compassion. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in family law matters, ensuring their rights and interests are protected at every stage. • Conduct thorough legal research and draft compelling documents to support clients' cases. • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. • Prepare and present cases in court, advocating passionately on behalf of clients. • Collaborate with support staff to manage case files efficiently and meet all deadlines. • Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed and involved in their case progress. • Demonstrate empathy and understanding, building trust with clients during challenging times of transition and change. Qualifications: • MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE VIRGINIA STATE BAR IN GOOD STANDING TO BE CONSIDERED. • Experience handling a wide range of family law matters such as divorce, custody, spousal support, visitation, child support, and enforcement. • Experience arguing motions. • Strong trial advocacy, research, and drafting skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • A minimum of 3 years of Virginia family law experience is required. • Minimum of 3 years of family law litigation experience. • Proficient in using computers and web-based applications. • Excellent negotiation skills. Compensation: $140,000 - $205,000 yearly
