Our law firm is seeking a family law attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, and all other family law matters. Responsibilities: • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Work closely with our team including support staff, associate attorney and senior attorney to ensure thorough and diligent representation • Confidently handle all aspects of the case, including motions, financial disclosures, discovery, use of experts, preparation of witnesses, drafting relevant documents, preparing and attending trials and hearings Qualifications: • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred • 1-3 years of experience in representing family law clients • J.D. in Colorado required (in good standing) • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and heightened emotional situations • Experience handling a complex caseload with multiple clients • Demonstrated experience litigating in court Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000+ yearly
