    Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date Top 5 Responsibilities: Own Case Strategy and Legal Judgment Independently determine case strategy and next steps without routine owner involvement.Produce Filing-Ready Legal Work Draft motions, pleadings, agreements, and correspondence that are accurate, compliant, and ready to file.Handle Court Appearances Independently Appear in court, argue motions, and represent clients without supervision.Manage Clients and Cases Proactively Keep cases moving forward and clients informed, oriented, and prepared.Move Files Through the System Work effectively with paralegals and staff so cases do not stall internally. Qualifications: • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred • Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants Compensation: $150,000 - $175,000 yearly
