Our law group is growing, and we are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent clients in all areas of family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations, such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues, such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. If you are passionate about helping people navigate some of the most difficult challenges they may face in their lives, start your application today Responsibilities: • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Keep client files properly organized and up to date Top 5 Responsibilities: Own Case Strategy and Legal Judgment • Independently determine case strategy and next steps without routine owner involvement. Produce Filing-Ready Legal Work • Draft motions, pleadings, agreements, and correspondence that are accurate, compliant, and ready to file. Handle Court Appearances Independently • Appear in court, argue motions, and represent clients without supervision. Manage Clients and Cases Proactively • Keep cases moving forward and clients informed, oriented, and prepared. Move Files Through the System • Work effectively with paralegals and staff so cases do not stall internally. Qualifications: • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) Compensation: $135,000 - $150,000 yearly
