Responsibilities: • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required • Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background Compensation: $100,000+ yearly DOE
