Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Responsibilities: • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Keep client files properly organized and up to date Qualifications: • Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required • Must have handled family law cases for at least 7 years, along with vast knowledge of property division Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 yearly DOE plus Bonuses
