    Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family law attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now! Responsibilities: • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process Qualifications: • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred • Must have the desire to become board-certified in Family Law • Enjoy taking cases to trial or pursuing aggressive, early settlements • Must be able to manage a large docket • Work with and delegate to a large spectrum of personalities • We represent great parents. You must be equally comfortable advocating for custody for a man or a woman • Must be comfortable representing parties in CPS cases • Must be licensed to practice law in Texas Compensation: $100,000 - $170,000 yearly
