    A boutique family law firm in Atlanta is seeking a Legal Assistant / Junior Paralegal to join its team. The firm handles complex, high-asset divorce and trust litigation matters and is known for providing strategic, discreet representation to clients navigating significant personal and financial transitions.

    This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys being involved in all aspects of sophisticated litigation matters. It's a small team and a blended role, so it requires a willingness to handle administrative as well as more substantive tasks.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Case Management: Track deadlines and ensure filings and deliverables are completed on time.

    • Legal Document Support: Proofread and assist with the preparation of pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents.

    • Discovery Coordination: Work with clients to collect responsive discovery materials and assist attorneys with document organization, review, and production.

    • Financial Record Organization: Assist in reviewing and organizing financial, business, and investigative records relevant to cases.

    • Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, helping keep them informed and organized throughout the litigation process.

    • Court Filings: Prepare and submit electronic filings in state and local courts.

    • Hearing, Deposition & Trial Preparation: Organize exhibits, prepare binders and indices, coordinate logistics, and assist attorneys with preparation for hearings, depositions, and trial.

    • Family Law Documentation: Assist with preparation of child support worksheets, DRFAs, and responses to mandatory discovery.

    • Investigative Research: Utilize online research and social media tools to support case preparation.

    • Administrative Support: Maintain electronic and hard files, coordinate meetings, schedule Zoom calls, and assist with general office organization.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required

    • 2+ years of experience as a family law legal assistant and/or paralegal

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Professional discretion when handling sensitive client matters

    • Comfortable working with legal technology and case management systems (NetDocs, WestLaw, LexisNexis, PeachCourt, Odyssey, etc.)

    $85,000 per year
