    Moore Family Law Group is looking for a sharp, organized, and experienced Family Law Legal Assistant who knows how to keep a busy legal team moving. You'll support a team of Certified Family Law Specialists (CFLS) and senior-level attorneys managing critical tasks, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks in a high-volume environment. Responsibilities: • Support CFLS and associate attorneys across a high-volume family law caseload, from document preparation to trial assistance • Prepare and maintain legal documents, including proofs of service, substitutions of attorney, financial disclosures, subpoenas, and basic court documents • Handle e-filing and file documents with courts throughout California in compliance with all deadlines and court requirements • Serve documents on opposing parties and counsel; provide ex parte notice pursuant to applicable code • Manage and maintain client files (99% paperless) with meticulous attention to accuracy and confidentiality • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel; send monthly case updates and schedule client appointments • Coordinate with process servers, court reporters, and other third-party providers • Answer phones, manage correspondence, and handle day-to-day administrative tasks that keep the firm running smoothly • Accurately capture and manage billable time entries • Observe and protect the confidentiality of all attorney-client communications at all times Qualifications: • 1–2 years of family law experience required • Strong working knowledge of California court procedures, e-filing systems, and legal document preparation • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines without losing composure • Professional, clear, and compassionate communication with clients, colleagues, opposing counsel, and court staff • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); familiarity with Clio is a plus • Demonstrated ability to manage and capture billable time accurately • A team-first mindset: dependable, punctual, and professional in every interaction • High emotional intelligence; ability to show empathy with clients navigating the most difficult moments of their lives Compensation: $25 - $27 hourly
