A Legal Assistant’s primary goal is to support our legal team by providing customer service to clients, maintaining calendars and schedules, organizing and maintaining our filing system and case files, and drafting correspondence and legal documents. Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Disability insurance • Free parking • Health insurance • Opportunities for advancement • Paid time off • Vision insurance Ability to Commute: • Atlanta, GA 30303 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Atlanta, GA 30303: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Atlanta, GA 30303 Responsibilities: • Provides customer service and responsiveness to the firm's needs through phone calls, emails, letters, and other communications. • Schedules calls and meetings, assuring that the attorneys’ calendars are accurately maintained and organized in a logical and efficient manner. • Interacts with the courts and administrative agencies regarding hearings, motions, and other appearances, becoming the courts’ primary point of contact with the firm for all administrative and scheduling issues. • Prepares and sends bills to clients. • Prepares and ensures the execution of engagement agreements as directed by the attorneys/sales department. • Maintains the Firm Master Calendar with important events, deadlines, and reminders, and maintains the attorneys’ calendars, ensuring all are updated and organized. • Retrieves and delivers assigned attorneys’ voicemails and ensures that copies are included in the firm’s client files (paper, electronic, or both). • Manages the attorneys’ mail (incoming and outgoing) and ensures physical and digital files are updated. • Prepares and sends correspondence as directed. • Ensures case files are created, updated, and organized, and that physical and electronic files include all relevant materials and information. • Enters time and billing data. • Make copies/scans of documents. Qualifications: • A Legal Assistant should have a high school diploma, but advanced training at a college or university is preferred. • A Legal Assistant should have prior experience in a family law firm. Compensation: $46,000 - $60,000 yearly
