Our rapidly growing family law firm seeks an experienced, confident, and detail-oriented associate to join our amazing team. We practice in all areas of domestic relations law, including divorce, parental responsibilities, appeals, and many others. The successful candidate must be comfortable with litigating and with all aspects of preparing for trial. This position is primarily remote, with in-office presence as needed. Responsibilities: • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Work closely with our team including support staff, associate attorney and managing attorney to ensure thorough and diligent representation • Confidently handle all aspects of the case from inception to conclusion, including motions, financial disclosures, discovery, use of experts, preparation of witnesses, drafting relevant documents, preparing and attending trials and hearings Qualifications: • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • 1-3 years of experience in representing family law clients • Member of the Colorado Bar in good standing • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and heightened emotional situations • Experience handling a complex caseload with multiple clients • Demonstrated experience litigating in court Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000+ yearly
