Responsibilities: • Draft and prepare legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and Memo of Points and Authorities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements. • Coordinate with attorneys and clients to gather necessary information and documentation for case preparation, fostering clear communication and trust. • Manage and organize case files, maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring easy access for the legal team. • Assist in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders, contributing to a smooth and efficient process. • Conduct legal research to support case strategies, providing valuable insights and recommendations to the legal team. • Schedule and coordinate court appearances, depositions, and meetings, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared. • Communicate with clients to provide updates on case progress, addressing any concerns with empathy and professionalism. Qualifications: • Experience in family law with a minimum of five years in a litigation paralegal role. • Ability to draft and prepare legal documents, including motions and pleadings, with precision and adherence to court standards. • Proven track record of managing and organizing case files efficiently, ensuring easy access and up-to-date records. • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel. • Proficiency in conducting legal research to support case strategies and provide actionable insights. • Experience in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists, to facilitate a seamless process. • Ability to schedule and coordinate court appearances and meetings, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared. Compensation: $35 - $60 hourly
