About the Role:
Haynes Kessler Myers and Postalakis is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join their team in Worthington, OH. This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role in supporting clients through some of life's most important legal matters. Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with all phases of family law cases including divorce, custody, support, and adoption matters
Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence
Manage and organize case files, deadlines, and court calendars
Conduct legal research and compile relevant case information
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner
Prepare and file documents with Ohio courts, including e-filing
Support attorneys during trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness materials
Requirements:
2+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in family law or domestic relations
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or equivalent experience
Paralegal certification (CP, FCP, or similar) is a plus
Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
Strong knowledge of Ohio family law procedures and court filing requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
Compassionate and professional demeanor when working with clients in sensitive situations
