Paralegals will be responsible for the coordination of all the details before, during, and after family court hearings. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process, including conducting interviews, legal research, document preparation, and preparing pleadings and exhibit books for hearings. We are looking for a paralegal to join our team and work remotely until our physical location in Canton opens, at which time this will be an in-person position. Responsibilities: • Organization and preparation of filings for family court proceedings • Maintenance of electronic case files; document and maintain case details • Communicating with clients to gather information and obtain evidence • Creating Equitable distribution charts and other pleadings under the direction of the attorney • Assisting attorneys with drafting, proofreading, filing, and service of correspondence, • Obtaining and analyzing evidence such as personal financial records, including bank records, taxes, agency reports and filings, school records, and income and salary information (including the creation of spreadsheets and chronologies) • Assisting the attorney with drafting discovery responses • Assisting with hearing preparation, including the assembly of information and evidence binders • Conduct research and organize information relevant to cases Qualifications: • Experience as a Paralegal • Attention to detail and accuracy to produce error-free, quality documentation • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs • Working knowledge of practice management software and tracking billable time per case • Problem-solving • Ability to follow directions and procedures • Time management, the ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organizational skills Compensation: $40,000 - $60,000 Base Plus Bonus
