Family Law Paralegal
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Maintains a professional and courteous demeanor with clients
- Maintains client confidentiality
- Must be able to multi-task and to handle tasks quickly and efficiently
-Prepares legal and court documents
-Obtains pertinent case information and data from the client
-Notifies attorney when forms, documents, interrogatories and other pertinent information /material are received and completes any necessary tasks associated with these.
-Processes mail on a daily basis to review any additional information pertinent to the cases being managed; determines and enters any necessary case notes for items received
- Answers phones
-Filing
Qualification:
Candidate must have 2+ years’ experience
Experience with Lexis Nexis, Microsoft office and other legal software. Ability to operate telephone, fax, photocopier, computers and other pertinent office equipment. Ability to work independently.
Candidate must also be professional, detail oriented and has excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
