We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Paralegal to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of family law experience. You will use your experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, draft and file pleadings, interview clients, and conduct research, supporting several CFLS and senior-level attorneys. Responsibilities: • Manage a caseload with minimal supervision and be a resource to the attorneys • Keeping case notes and preparing for case meetings • Understanding of court procedure and family code • Actively communicate with clients • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery, such as interrogatories, subpoenas, demands, deposition notices • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research, and assisting with client meetings • Draft RFOs, motions, DVROs, Judgments • Interview clients to gather information The pay rate will depend on experience and qualifications. Qualifications: • Talented communicator and writer • Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills • At least three solid years of family law experience as a paralegal, including family law judicial council forms, pleadings, family court procedure, Rules of Court, and CCP. Understand that we are looking for someone who can onboard and take over a full caseload. We want to acclimate you to our systems and processes, but we are not able to train you to be a paralegal. However, there is room for growth. • Experience with tracking time. Compensation: $27- $35 hourly
