Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Family Law & Personal Injury Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be committed to advocating for families in transition while also representing injured clients in personal injury claims. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload, develop litigation skills across multiple practice areas, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of clients who need strong, empathetic representation.
Key Responsibilities
Family Law
Represent clients in divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, adoptions, enforcement actions, and protective orders
Draft and file petitions, motions, discovery, and other family law pleadings
Conduct client consultations, case assessments, and strategy sessions
Represent clients in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials
Maintain detailed communication and set realistic expectations with clients
Personal Injury
Represent clients injured in car accidents, workplace incidents, premises liability cases, and other negligence matters
Draft and file demand packages, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs
Perform legal research and case investigation, including working with experts when necessary
Negotiate injury settlements with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel
Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial as required
General
Manage a diverse and high-volume caseload
Collaborate effectively with paralegals, legal assistants, and fellow attorneys
Maintain a high standard of professionalism, ethics, and client advocacy
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing in Texas (MO, KS, IL a plus)
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in family law and/or personal injury
Proven litigation, negotiation, and case-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Strong commitment to client-centered advocacy
