Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Responsibilities: • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action Qualifications: • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants • At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary • 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position • Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 Plus bonus
