The Opportunity We are seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Family Law Attorney who shares our passion for helping families and aligns with our values of integrity, compassion, and delivering unreasonable hospitality to clients. This role is ideal for an attorney who is ready to take ownership of their cases while collaborating with a supportive and driven team. What You’ll Do • Communicate effectively with both English- and Spanish-speaking clients • Draft petitions, motions, discovery, community property settlements, judgments, and related pleadings • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials when necessary • Provide legal counsel, explain options, and guide clients through complex family law matters • Manage a caseload independently while collaborating with the team What We’re Looking For • Fluent in Spanish and English (preferred) • Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar • 3+ years of legal experience (family law preferred but not required) • Strong writing skills (writing sample required) • Ability to manage 40–50 cases as first chair • Commitment to meeting 1400 billable hours annually • Courtroom confidence and litigation ability • Experience with or ability to learn Clio, Dropbox, and Microsoft Office 365 • A willingness to be coached and continuously improve • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds What We Offer • Salary: $65,000 – $100,000 (based on experience) • Quarterly Bonus Structure: Eligible after 3–6 months • Earn 25% of collected billables above the threshold • 401(k) with up to 4.5% match • Partially subsidized BCBS health insurance (employee) • 100% employer-paid: dental, vision, life, STD, and LTD • 11–12 paid holidays annually • Up to 4 weeks PTO (based on experience) • CLEs 100% covered • Hybrid/remote flexibility for experienced attorneys • A flexible, supportive work environment Why Magnolia Law Magnolia Law is a fast-growing firm known for its white-glove client service and strong team culture. Responsibilities: • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current • Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases Qualifications: • Demonstrated commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality service to a diverse client base, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively (bilingual in English and Spanish preferred). • Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar, ensuring compliance and credibility. • Three or more years of legal experience, with a preference for family law expertise. • Strong writing skills, demonstrated by a required writing sample, to craft precise legal documents. • Ability to manage a caseload of 40–50 cases as first chair, showcasing organizational skills. • Commitment to achieving 1400 billable hours annually, reflecting dedication and work ethic. • Courtroom confidence and litigation ability to represent clients effectively in trials and proceedings when necessary.
