Responsibilities: • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases Qualifications: • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required • Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case Compensation: $120,000+ depending on experience & performance
