The Oasis Center is a non-profit family medicine clinic integrating physical, behavioral, and social support to families affected by substance use disorders. Located in Southern Oregon we have year-round outdoor activities include hiking, skiing, biking, as well as theater, university, and international airport.
The MD/DO or FNP will work in a team-based environment to provide comprehensive primary and preventative care to patients of all ages, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, and educating patients on health and wellness. The Oasis Center provides prenatal care, pediatric care, and adult primary care.
Although experience working with those with substance use disorders is preferred, there is strong mentorship in a dynamic learning environment to support the successful applicant, regardless of prior experience
Clinic days/hours: 4 days/week Electronic Health Record: EPIC, with Dax AI
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive medical assessments for both pediatric and adult patients
Provide evidence-based treatment for SUDs, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid and alcohol use disorders, when appropriate
Manage chronic and acute health conditions in both adults and children within families
Collaborate closely with behavioral health therapists, peer recovery mentors, and other wraparound staff to develop integrated care plans
Offer patient and family education on health promotion, harm reduction, relapse prevention, and parenting in recovery
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
Participate in case conferences, team huddles, and care coordination efforts
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
Engage in community outreach and health promotion as needed
Coding/Billing
Qualifications:
MD/DO/NP from accredited medical school
Current State of Oregon licensure
Strong knowledge of HIPAA
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Background or fellowship training in Addiction Medicine encouraged but not required
