Job Summary:
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides advanced primary and preventive care services across
the lifespan, emphasizing holistic wellness, chronic disease management, and patient education. The
FNP shall collaborate with a supervising physician and additional providers to ensure comprehensive,
patient-centered care in accordance with the clinic's mission and state/federal regulations. The provider
will be trained in BioTe Hormone Replacement Therapy as part of their role in offering specialized
wellness services to patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, medical history reviews, and
screenings.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with DEA and Texas regulations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Provide patient and family education to support health promotion, disease prevention, and medication
adherence.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in the EMR system.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, imaging, and other procedures.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and community health resources when appropriate.
- Obtain additional training for additional services offered in the clinic, including BioTe HRT
- Collaborate with the supervising physician and additional providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinic policies and compliance standards.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Texas.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by a nationally recognized certifying body (AANP or
ANCC).
- Current DEA eligibility to prescribe controlled substances.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience as an FNP preferred.
- BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
