Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Practitioner Fellow for the Emergency Department Fellowship Program in Manhattan.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision, coordination, and assurance of comprehensive medical care using sound medical knowledge and pertinent standards of care; performance of therapeutic, corrective, and prescriptive measures on the designated inpatient or outpatient population; and assumption of delegatory responsibilities assigned by supervising or collaborating physician privileged as Medical Staff of NYU Langone Health.
Job Responsibilities:
1. **_CLINICAL_**
1. 1. Performs complete health history, physical examination and psychosocial assessment of patients within the designated practice or clinical unit.
1. _CARE MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION_
1. 1. Supports the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution, department, and clinical service.
1. _ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT_
1. Prepares for weekly conference in a timely and thorough manner through the completion of assigned readings, podcasts, and journals.
2. Maintains mandatory attendance at weekly conferences.
3. Actively prepares for and participates in SimLab procedures/codes/scenarios.
4. Delegates CME allowance for participation in national societal conferences.
5. Promotes own professional growth and development in clinical role.
6. Upholds current expertise in area of practice.
7. Maintains annual CME requirement for reappointment and privileging.
8. Maintains board certification.
9. Serves as a clinical expert and resource for the education of peers and other health professionals by preparing presentations and journal articles for collegiate review.
1. _EVALUATION AND RESEARCH_
1. 1. Uses evidence based literature to advise and support appropriate practice changes within the designated service.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have:
Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS, Nurse Practitioner-NYS, Basic Life Support Cert
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Life Support certification (ACLS, PALS) through the American Heart Association or Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics may be required based on your selected privileges.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $82,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
