    Family Preservation Services of North Carolina partnered with the Caiyalynn Burrell Child Crisis Center.

    The Caiyalynn Burrell Child Crisis Center is a planned 16-bed facility-based crisis and detox program for children and adolescents. Located in Asheville, the center will provide an alternative to hospitalization for eligible children experiencing a mental health, substance use or intellectual or developmental disability (IDD) crisis.

    Caiyalynn Burrell Child Crisis Center is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Psych Tech Specialist – Part-Time Tech functions as a fully integrated team member to provide expertise about the recovery process, symptom management, and the persistence required by clients to have a satisfying life. The Psychiatric Tech collaborates to promote a team culture that recognizes, understands, and respects each client’s point of view, experiences, and preferences. The Psychiatric Tech is responsible to maximize client choice, self-determination and decision-making in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of treatment, rehabilitation and support services. The Psychiatric Tech acts as a liaison with community resources; carries out rehabilitation and support functions; and assists in treatment, substance abuse services, education, support and consultation to families and crisis intervention under the clinical supervision of staff with professional degrees. The Psychiatric Tech provides services that are culturally competent, age appropriate and address the unique needs of each client to empower and assist the client and family to access and utilize needed services and supports.

    **Schedule for this position is Saturday-Sunday nights 8pm-8am **

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum, must meet credentialing requirements for the Paraprofessional within the mh/dd/sas system per NCAC 10A 27G .0104 by having a GED or high school diploma

    Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
