    FPS Team is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Walk-In Therapist, under the direction and supervision of the Adult Outpatient Services Supervisor is responsible for providing assessment and therapy services for adults as well as linking to needed crisis supports and additional services, children and/or families. The therapist is responsible for functions of coordinating, managing, supporting and facilitating appropriate services to meet the needs of individual clients and/or families. The therapist is also responsible for the provision of case management if necessary. This position will be primarily with consumers referred to the crisis center and will be responsible for additional data gathering and reporting.

    SUMMARY

    The Therapist, under the direction and supervision of the Adult Outpatient Services Supervisor is responsible for providing assessment and therapy services for adults as well as linking to needed crisis supports and additional services, children and/or families. The therapist is responsible for functions of coordinating, managing, supporting and facilitating appropriate services to meet the needs of individual clients and/or families. The therapist is also responsible for the provision of case management if necessary. This position will be primarily with consumers referred to the crisis center and will be responsible for additional data gathering and reporting.

    Position Duties

    Evaluate and assess client needs. Formulate diagnoses. Provide specific recommendations for treatment. Make referrals for recommended treatment as appropriate.

    Develop, coordinate and facilitate treatment planning to include formulation, reviews, and reformulations as appropriate.

    Provide individual, group and/or family therapy as detailed in the client’s treatment plan.

    Develop and maintain working relationships with the client, family and other treatment team members.

    Coordinate discharge planning.

    Complete in a timely manner, accurate clinical documentation of all services, interventions and client related activities. Maintain this documentation in accordance with standards of FPS’ file management systems. Expatiation is that all assessments are to be completed within 24 hours and turned in to front desk staff to make a chart and enter into PCMS.

    Secure authorization of services and provide services in accordance with established timelines and regulatory requirements.

    Meet billable expectation per pay period as established.

    Provide information for court reports and other client related reports as required, and attend court as requested and/or needed.

    Cooperatively and actively participate in all assigned staff and supervisory meetings as well as in service trainings and staff development activities.

    Consistently maintain established productivity requirements for delivering direct, billable services to assigned clients.

    Cooperatively perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and Core Values of FPS.

    TRAVEL

    This position requires travel of approximately 10% of the time.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Master’s Degree in Human Services

    A graduate of a college or university with a Master’s Degree in a human service field. The individual must hold an unrestricted license issued by a licensing board in one of the following disciplines: psychology, psychiatry, social work, or counseling.

    Or

    A graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree in a human service field. The individual must be Provisionally Licensed by the Social Work Board or Board Eligible by the NC Counseling Board or an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    3 years related experience and/or training, full licensure preferred.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Licensure of LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCAS or LCSW-P, Board Eligible LPC, LCAS, LMFT Associate.
