    General Statement of Position Responsibilities: The Qualified Mental Health Professional for the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Service is a Qualified Professional according to 10A NCAC 27G.0104 who is responsible for assisting the Director with planning, coordination and oversight of therapeutic and rehabilitative services to consumers enrolled in Psychosical Rehabilitation (PSR).

    Job Duties:

    Provides direct services according the consumer’s Person Centered Plan and regulatory requirements of Clinical Coverage Policy 8A. Direct Services include, but are not limited to, the following skill and resource development activities:

    Development of Leisure time Interests/Activities

    Behavior and Anger Management Techniques

    Daily and Community Living Skills

    Socialization Skills

    Adaptation Skills

    Symptom Monitoring and Management

    Substance Abuse Education

    Caregiver Training

    Therapeutic Mentoring

    Work Readiness and Prevocational Activities

    Wellness Education

    Medication Self Management

    Utilize interventions to promote consumer recovery, symptom stability, increased coping skills and achievement of the highest level of functioning in the community.

    Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with community partners on behalf of consumers and their recovery goals.

    Assist consumers in accessing and effectively using community resources.

    Provide transportation or assist consumer in securing transportation as needed to ensure that community access.

    Develop client’s PCP using Person-Centered Thinking. Revise and update client’s PCP as necessary per result of ongoing assessment activities.

    Make modifications to interventions and skill and resource development activities per changes in to the consumers Person Centered Plan and recovery goals.

    Ensure timely completion of documentation of PSR services in accordance with Clinical Coverage Policy 8A and other related regulatory requirements set forth by the LME.

    Learn and Adhere to the program requirements, entrance criteria, continued stay criteria and discharge criteria for utililization of PSR Services as outlined in Division (MH/DD/SAS) Clinical Coverage Policy.

    Secure authorization of services according to established timelines and regulatory requirements as dictated by the Division (MH/DD/SAS), the LME, Value Options and/or other authorizing sources as required.

    Maintain client confidentiality in adherence to HIPPA regulations.

    Complete in a timely manner, accurate clinical documentation of all services, interventions and client related activities. Maintain this documentation in accordance with standards of FPS’ file management systems.

    Cooperatively and actively participate in all assigned staff and supervisory meetings as well as in service trainings and staff development activities.

    Work with supervisor to self-identify training and supervision needs, and ensure services to clients are provided only within the scope of current expertise and abilities

    Cooperatively performs other job duties as assigned to support the provision of quality services to consumers; remain available to team members in crisis situations; and support the Mountainhouse mission.

    BONA FIDE OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL IN NORTH CAROLINA:

    Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Baccalaureate Degree in Social Work or Psychology, or a related human services field. Has 2 years of MH/DD/SA experience providing direct service to the population served. All individuals must be credentialed as a QP by meeting the requirements specified for Qualified Professional status according to 10A NCAC 27.G.0104.

    OR

    Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Pyschology, or a related human services field. Has 1 year of MH/DD/SA experience providing direct service to the population served OR has contracted with a professional licensure board. All individuals must be credentialed as a QP by meeting the requirements specified for Qualified Professional status according to 10A NCAC 27.G.0104.

    OR

    Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Baccalaureate Degree or a Master’s Degree in a field unrelated to human services. Has required number of years of MH/DD/SA experience providing direct service to the population served. All individuals must be credentialed as a QP by meeting the requirements specified for Qualified Professional status according to 10A NCAC 27.G.0104.

    Required Licenses or Certifications required for Position:

    Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a safe driving record.
