Education Center Operator

Our Education Center Operators are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Head Start centers while ensuring that Federal & State regulations and guidelines are followed.
Family Service also provides wrap-around services to our children and families for various needs our community may need. We call this "addressing the social determinants of health". We do this by providing services through a trauma-informed care lens.
Our Education Center operators are responsible for developing and maintain collaborative relations, supervising Head Start staff and engaging families and community members in accordance with our program guidelines.
Family Service has multiple Head Start locations throughout the Northside ISD, Pilgrim Head Start, Live Oak Head Start, and Carmelite Head Start. Preference of location (based on availability) will be taken into consideration.
Education/Training/Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood development or other related human service field with 18 hours of Early Childhood Development.
2. Must have six college credit hours in management or related field
3. Current CPR and First Aid
4. 2 years' experience required.
5. Previous supervisory experience is desirable.
6. Fluent in English and Spanish or other languages that represent the needs of our children and families (read, write, and speak) desirable.
