Family Services Specialist I - $22.87 - Monday thru Friday 8a-5p

This position is primarily responsible for the receipt, review and tracking of Guardianship reports using the State's case management system and various Excel spreadsheets. In reviewing these reports, the worker will be responsible for assessing each report for suspicion of abuse, neglect and/or exploitation, ensuring compliance with Federal, State and Local Guardianship policies and procedures and documenting the case record using an understanding of social work practices and principles. Additionally, this position requires communication with attorneys as well as public and private guardians.

Requirements:

Must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a human services field (social work, counseling, gerontology, guidance and counseling, family and child development, psychology, or sociology); or possess a bachelor’s degree in any field accompanied by a minimum of two (2) years related experience in a human services area. Must have a current and valid driver’s license.

Fingerprinting for barrier crimes, CPS Check required is working with children.
