    Job Description

    FANDOM – the largest global entertainment platform powered by fans – is seeking a Manager of Consumer Insights to manage and conduct primary research to gain a better understanding of Fandom's users and creators across sites and platforms. The Manager will work with all Fandom teams - content, community, sales, design, and product/tech - to ensure that the voice of the consumer is core to all business initiatives.

     

    YOU WILL...

    • Gain a deep understanding of Fandom's current and future customers through a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
    • Manage The Fan Lab, our internal research community, ensuring that we're tapping into members to drive decisioning across the business and keeping members engaged and activated
    • Work cross-functionally with all Fandom teams to gain an understanding of objectives and needs, develop an optimal research plan and priorities, and establish a strong feedback loop to ensure research findings inform stakeholders' planning and decision making
    • Collaborate closely with analytics to craft 360 research projects, using the best methodologies across platforms to tell the complete consumer story
    • Manage research quality, including study design, sampling/representativeness, execution and analysis
    • Effectively communicate and disseminate research findings and develop strategic recommendations and insights-driven opportunities

     

     

    You have...

    • 5+ years of experience in an in-house or agency consumer insights role
    • Experience managing consumer panels (e.g. Vision Critical, Fuel Cycle) strongly preferred
    • Experienced in planning, conducting and analyzing quantitative research studies - A&U studies, concept tests, pricing studies, etc.
    • Experience selecting and managing vendors across an array of methodologies
    • Comfortable running qualitative research studies, e.g. focus groups, message boards and 1-on-1s
    • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time
    • A storyteller with the ability to uncover and share insights vs. data
    • Highly organized and detail oriented
    • Proactive and adaptable
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
