    FarApp is a rapidly growing ecommerce automation solutions company. It sounds like a lot of buzz words, but we really are growing fast and want to bring in new talented folks to help manage our rapidly expanding customer base. We hope that we can find that talent in you! 

    We connect to over 60 endpoints to help our customers become versatile ecommerce participants. We automate their connections between their business systems and popular marketplaces and carts such as Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Newegg, Buy.com, Magento, Shipwire, and more.   

    We are looking for a talented self-motivated individual to fill our newly created DevOps Engineer position. This is our first hire in this role so much of the responsibility of building out the position will fall to you. One of your primary responsibilities will be  will be to manage Sentry and ensure the smooth operation of our system. Working closely with the engineering team, you will be implementing new security procedures, maintaining and updating systems, and monitoring for issues and bugs. 

    Some other  responsibilities include: 

    • Implement tools for rapid testing, delivery, and deployment of services. 
    • Ensure all security, compliance, and performance measures are in place. 
    • Manage frequent changes and updates to the production process of the system. 
    • Quickly identify problems and service faults in the system.

     

     Here are some of the qualifications we hope you have: 

    • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer with at least 2 years in a DevOps or similar position. 
    • Accountability and a sense of urgency. Ecommerce is a fast-paced environment and we need someone that can evaluate issues and respond appropriately. 
    • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple teams and occasionally, clients. 
    • Very strong problem-solving skills. A big component of the role is solving small but intricately involved puzzles. 
    • Experience with ecommerce, logistics, or any leg of the ecommerce world is a plus.
