    The Nautical Group is a retained executive search firm partnering with clients to identify and recruit outstanding individuals capable of serving key disciplines at all levels of an organization.  Our firm has been retained by Farlie Turner& Co. in the search for an Investment Banking Analyst.  Farlie Turner is a boutique investment bank formed to provide sophisticated, high-quality advisory and financing services to middle market companies.  With a combination of merger and acquisition, private equity, corporate acquisition and entrepreneurial experience, the firm has a unique and extensive set of skills and transaction experience to draw on when providing middle market companies with advice.  Their focus on a long-term approach to everything they do as well as their ability to act as an extension of their clients’ teams allows them the ability to provide thoughtful, bespoke service.    

    The Investment Banking Analyst for Farlie Turner serves as a key member of the deal team, typically working with a Managing Director, a middle level investment banker and an Associate. The analyst will be given significant responsibility and will receive client exposure, deal experience, and an understanding of transaction structures. In most M&A and capital raising assignments, the analyst assists in the following:

    • Preparation of new business presentations
    • Company and industry research
    • Financial analysis and modeling
    • Participation in live transaction activity
    • Direct interaction with clients

    While Farlie Turner is based in Fort Lauderdale, this is a position that allows for remote work. 

    QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS A COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:

    • Outstanding undergraduate academic performance (3.5 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale)
    • One to three years of experience in financial services, public accounting or other professional services preferred but not required
    • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical ability
    • Strong experience with Excel
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work a demanding schedule
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
