The Farm Hand and Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily care of farm animals as well as the upkeep of the property and facilities. This role combines hands-on animal care with general maintenance duties to ensure the smooth operation and appearance of the farm. Responsibilities include feeding, cleaning, and monitoring livestock; maintaining barns, fences, and pastures; and performing routine property maintenance such as landscaping, equipment care, and minor repairs. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions, with a strong commitment to animal welfare and property upkeep. Responsibilities: • Feed, water, and monitor livestock on a daily schedule. • Clean and maintain barns, stalls, and animal enclosures. • Assist with seasonal farm tasks such as birthing, breeding, and herd management. • Perform property maintenance, including fencing, gates, and pastures. • Handle routine landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, and snow removal. • Conduct minor repairs on buildings, equipment, and farm infrastructure. • Remove trees, trim branches, and clear debris from farm property. • Maintain trails and paths, ensuring they are clear and well-kept. Qualifications: • Farm or maintenance experience preferred. • Knowledge of basic animal care and safe handling. • Skilled in general repairs and landscaping. • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs. and work in all weather. • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a team. • Valid driver’s license required. Compensation: $15 - $17 hourly
