JOB DESCRIPTION

The General Accountant is responsible for accounting and finance activities including maintaining the general ledger, collaboration with the outsourced Accounting Firm, accounts payables, financial control and reporting.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

· Designs and performs accounting processes for Farmasi in accordance with US GAAP in collaboration with the outsourced accounting company. This includes month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations. It also involves technical accounting analysis and research.

· Tracks all financial and cash transactions, ensures accurate data flow to the accounting company and accurate book keeping

· Reviews accounting and tax tasks performed by the outsourced accountant. This includes review of journal entries, review of account reconciliations, reviewing tax filings and providing guidance on related issues.

· Implements internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.

· Communication across functions including outsourced accounting firm, Warehouse Operations, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, and Shared Service Functions residing in World HQ -Turkey.

· Understands and is familiar with an international company environment and inter-company relationship and implications.

· Develops and executes annual strategic initiatives that support the business unit goals and objectives and perform other activities as assigned by the Management.

· Provides internal business partners with accurate documentation, analysis and education to support decision making.

SKILL SET

· BS - Accounting required

· CPA/CMA preferred

· Minimum 5 years related experience

· Experience in IFRS reporting

· Excellent analytical skills

· Knowledge of SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics

· Must be able to work in a team environment

· Highly driven - self starter

· Problem solver, strong business acumen, action oriented

· Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information

Must speak English fluently
