The Field Support Engineer is responsible for providing exceptional technical support and assistance to customers regarding the installation, maintenance, and repair of coffee brewing and beverage equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service by performing installations, repairs, and removals of specified coffee and beverage dispensing equipment within the designated regional geography.
- Execute both scheduled and unscheduled service activities, including emergency service calls, preventative maintenance, surveys, and installations.
- Participate in the "On Call" service rotation, which may require after-hours and weekend availability.
- Maintain optimal spare parts and equipment inventory levels, following replenishment guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of work assignments, including the call closure process, detailed work performed, invoice completeness, and customer signature on required documents.
- Collaborate in the planning, scheduling, and execution of equipment installations.
- Effectively communicate with customers, providing prompt and clear updates on service progress.
- Proactively relay customer feedback and requests to management or relevant departments.
- Adhere to outlined service level agreements for customer programs.
- Efficiently manage and prioritize tasks to meet expectations.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical and technical experience.
- Previous experience in the foodservice industry is preferred.
- Preferred experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and Tech Meter.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel within a 100-mile radius of the branch location.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose equipment issues.
- Capability to lift up to 60 lbs. frequently.
- Proficiency in prioritizing and performing scheduled and unscheduled service activities, including emergency service calls, preventative maintenance, surveys, and installations.
