We are accepting applications on a rolling basis. This position will assist with Business Immigration (ex. H2A, H2B, TN) visa petitions. This position requires a combination of empathy, detail orientation, organization, and strong time-management skills. Our Paralegals play an integral role in creating memorable experiences for clients. This position is full-time. Responsibilities: • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible • Serve as a first-line review for the legal work of assigned Legal Assistant(s) and provide substantive feedback before presentation to Associate Attorney for review • Manage statuses of all filed applications and petitions and finalize documents after attorney review • Provide legal and factual summaries of case issues and/or strategies for review by the assigned Associate Attorney • Maintains contact with government agencies and escalates possible issues to Supervisory Paralegal or assigned Associate Attorney • Draft petitions, applications, statements in support, and other immigration documents for attorney review • Provide clients with clear and consistent case status updates • Track time in case management software • Assist in the training of Legal Assistants • Other duties as assigned Qualifications: • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills • Strong oral and written communication skills • This is not an entry-level position. Minimum 1-year experience in a Paralegal role required • Strong skills in attention to detail, time management, and customer service required • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team setting • Working knowledge of MS Office and experience with case management software required • Spanish communication, both written and oral, are strongly preferred • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or a paralegal certification with at least 2 years of relevant paralegal experience • Legal experience in working with business-based and/or family immigration preferred • Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference Compensation: $21 - $25 hourly
