Our fast-paced Immigration Law Firm in Austin is looking to hire a detail-oriented, efficient, and goal-minded Paralegal to help accomplish that goal! We are accepting applications on a rolling basis. This position will assist with Business Immigration petitions. Experience with PERM and H2B visas is highly preferred. This position requires a combination of empathy, detail-oriented, organization, and strong time-management skills. Our Paralegal will play an integral role in creating memorable experiences for clients. This position is full-time. Responsibilities: • Serve as first-line review for the legal work of assigned Legal Assistant(s) and provide substantive feedback before presentation to Associate Attorney for review • Manages status of all filed applications and petitions and finalize documents after attorney review • Provide legal and factual summaries of case issues and/or strategies for review by assigned Associate Attorney • Maintains contact with government agencies and escalates possible issues to Senior Paralegal or assigned Associate Attorney • Draft petitions, applications, statements in support, and other immigration documents for attorney review • Provide clients with clear and consistent case status updates • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team setting • Strong time tracking skills as well as adhering to strict deadlines • Assist in the training of Legal Assistants • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills • Working knowledge of MS Office and experience with case management software Qualifications: Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference • Spanish communication, both written and oral, are strongly preferred • This is not an entry-level position. Minimum 1-year experience in a Paralegal role required • Degree from accredited college or university and/or paralegal certification • LEGAL EXPERIENCE IN WORKING WITH BUSINESS-BASED AND/OR FAMILY IMMIGRATION HIGHLY PREFERRED Compensation: $20 - $26 hourly
