    A law firm headquartered in southwest Austin, TX is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will have some bookkeeping or accounting experience, a team attitude, enjoy supporting the evolution of systems and processes and be adaptable. Responsibilities: • Provide ownership over their role in the daily, weekly, monthly activities of the finance department • Import credit card transactions, match them to receipts and properly code them • Process accounts payables • Monitor accounts receivables, make calls on invoices past due • Manage the central billing email inbox, triage appropriately • Support the monthly close process timely and accurately • Record journal entries as directed • Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports, including dashboards, projections, cash and income statement forecasting • Support ensuring compliance as it relates both to accounting and labor laws • Support cyclical accounting projects • Leverage technology to optimize the accounting functions companywide (Quickbooks, Clio, online banking, Office365) Qualifications: • Associates, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, business or related field • Proven ability to pay close attention to detail • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Motivated to lean into problems and help come up with creative solutions • Technically savvy, experience with various software Compensation: $45,000
