    Customer Service and Sales Representative Summary Customer Service Representatives work to maximize positive customer experiences by responding to customer inquiries or complaints regarding the company's products or services. They will communicate with internal and external customers about basic underwriting guidelines, policies, and marketing initiatives to service customer accounts. Additionally, Customer Service Representatives will analyze, clarify, and resolve policy and account-related questions. Core Competencies • Business Results - ability to meet individual performance, metrics and goals • Drive and Productivity - Able to bring about great results from ordinary circumstances; prepare for problems or opportunities in advance; undertakes additional responsibilities and responds to situations as they arise without supervision • Innovation - accepts innovation and improvement recommendations • Communication - acceptable verbal communication skills • Job Knowledge – Understand basic product, billing, underwriting, and processing guidelines • Team Work- accepts feedback when offered and works well with others • Adaptability- ability to handle many different situations • Problem solving- Being able to work through problems Responsibilities: • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to help the customer identify specific products and solutions • Solicit, sell, and negotiate new business policies • Review renewal business and identify appropriate follow-up action based on degree of change • Cross-sell/up-sell products to existing customers • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken • Assist with the annual review process by contacting customers and preparing personalized customer coverage recommendations based on customers’ needs • Perform risk analysis and field underwriting • Client/Claims liaison • Refer unresolved customer grievances or complex customer interactions to senior team member • Implement/adhere to company and Agency guidelines • General customer service duties as presented • Performs other duties as assigned • Clear and concise communication • Reaching various target markets Qualifications: • P&C Licensed along with Life/health license in future (we can assist with licensing) • Willingness to learn new products • Be coachable and intuitive to your business • Good communicator and listener • Educate and assist customers on insurance product(s) • Advising and assisting customers on their insurance needs • Providing excellent customer service to policyholders • Utilizing proven marketing systems, or those you may develop, to reach potential customers for our Insurance and Financial Services products • Team playerNote: This position may require having the flexibility to work nonstandard hours/shifts and having the ability to adhere to a structured schedule. PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIESA four-year college degree is highly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous customer service experience is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have basic PC skills, basic math skills, strong analytical capability, conflict resolution skills, the ability to multi-task, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Compensation: $15 - $20 hourly
