    Job Description

    Our District Office is looking for highly motivated self-disciplined sales professionals to join our Agency Protege program. Work and learn from a full time agent for a year on how to sucessfully manage and increase an agencies policies in force. The program is a paid internship to help you develop and implement sucessful marketing methods used to generate new business. We offer a fulfilling career opportunity for an individual who desires the freedom of an un-capped commission structure, along with the true security of knowing you are in complete control of your financial destiny. Once the $100,000 premium requirement has been met, within the year, we will waive the liquidity requirement needed to start your very own Farmers Insurance Agency.

    Division 86 agents succeed because of their superior prospecting systems and habits, mastery of sales presentations, setting clear and obtainable goals, a healthy self-image, a strong belief in insurance, and a strong “can do” attitude.

    PROPERTY & CASUALTY, LIFE & HEALTH INSURANCE LICENSE ARE REQUIRED.

    NOT LICENSED? NO PROBLEM, OUR OFFICE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH ALL OF THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING YOU WILL NEED. IT STARTS WITH OBTAINING YOUR LICENSES. THEN CONTINUES THROUGHOUT YOUR RESERVE AND CAREER MILESTONES WITH OUR IN-HOUSE TRAINING AND ACCESS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF FARMERS (IN CLASS AND ONLINE).

     

    DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Contacting businesses or individuals in order to secure appointments to obtain $120,000 in premium within a year
    • Ability to uncover cross-sell opportunities of existing clients
    • Obtain prospect contact information, payment method, current insurance and risk assessment
    • Record names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects contacted
    • Adjust sales approach to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals
    • Correspond with customers via phone/email/direct mail/in person to follow up initial sales contacts
    • Maintains records of contacts and activity
    • Deliver prepared sales presentations, persuading potential prospects to meet with the intent to purchase insurance products
    • Perform other duties as assigned
