    SUMMARY: Manages the Quality Control Department by performing the following duties. JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a Temp to Hire Position ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Manage and direct activities of Quality Control Department. Develop policies and procedures for quality assurance matters. Interface with customers and suppliers on quality assurance issues. Interface on a technical basis with Engineering, Production, etc., on all quality assurance issues. Develop and prepare reports for various measures of quality, including cost. Develop and implement inspection method policies. Conduct periodic quality assurance and ISO audits. Perform other duties as assigned. Train personnel in Quality Control related subjects. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Quality Control Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years quality assurance experience. Minimum three years supervisory or managerial experience. Good working knowledge of statistics. Three to five years in the injection molding industry. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS/OTHER ABILITIES Ability to comprehend and apply principles of statistical theory. Ability to Read Blueprints.
