Job Description
Summer 2026 Feature Technical Direction Internship:

Program Dates: June 8 - August 14, 2026
Time Commitment: Full-Time (40 hours per week required)
Format: In Person
Responsibilities: “What would you say you do here?”
Observe and assist Technical Directors with writing tools for the production pipeline
Craft and develop new software tools and applications to assist artists in large-scale feature animation productions
Test, debug, and extend existing tools and systems
Provide technical support to production artists
Support additional administrative and data-wrangling tasks as needed

Programming experience
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or a recent graduate (within six months)
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be willing to work in Glendale, California
Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Desired Qualifications: “What can I offer?”
Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Visualization, or Digital Media (or equivalent)
Experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, or JavaScript
Knowledge of computer graphics
Experience with project-tracking software such as Jira or equivalent
Understanding of digital content creation applications such as Maya, Houdini, and/or Nuke
Interest in Feature Animation
Solid grasp of revision control systems such as Git
Familiarity with User Experience (UX) concepts and/or User Interface (UI) design and development
Hourly Rate: $17.87
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
