ABOUT THE POSITION - FULL TIME

This is a full time, which offers competitive and secure income over the long run. The daily service consists of managing a FedEx Ground route, delivering 5 to 150 lb. parcels and making average of 120 stops per day to residential and commercial customers in your assigned area. Main Terminal Hub is 7585 Factory Shoals Rd, Austell, GA 30168

COMPENSATION: $ Weekly Pay

SCHEDULE: 7:30am – until depending on your route

• Monday to Friday
• Also Weekends, Saturday- Sunday

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Work in extreme weather conditions (heat/cold)
• 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license
• Must have a customer service oriented, friendly, helpful, and professional disposition.
• Must be very DEPENDABLE.
• Must know how to navigate the roads using a GPS.
• Commercial driving experience, driving a cargo van or larger
• Clean driving record -- NO DUIS. NO PHONE/TEXTING OR RECKLESS DRIVING TICKETS, ETC. IN PAST 3 YEARS. NO MORE THAN 1 MOVING VIOLATION IN THE PAST YEAR OR NO MORE THAN 2 MOVING VIOLATIONS IN THE PAST 3 YEARS. NO MORE THAN 1 PREVENTABLE ACCIDENT IN THE PAST 3 YEARS. SUSPENSIONS ON YOUR RECORD MAY DISQUALIFY YOU. WE NEED TO SEE A RECENT COPY OF YOUR DRIVING RECORD FROM DMV.
• Clean criminal record -- No major misdemeanors or felonies in past 10 years. You must be able to pass a background check.
• Able to pass DOT medical exam and drug test --
• Able to lift at least 80 lbs., or up to 150 lbs. to work some routes (a hand dolly is provided for assistance)

JOB DESCRIPTION: DELIVERY DRIVER -- FULL-TIME In your role as a FedEx driver

· Report to the terminal in the morning and ensure that your truck has been loaded properly with all the packages on your daily manifest.

· Deliver the packages and you may have to pick up additional packages during a given time slot.

· Return your vehicle and any packages you've picked up to the terminal.

· Drivers work Monday-Friday. [ADDITIONAL DAYS MAY APPLY DURING PEAK SEASON (NOVEMBER/DECEMBER)].

To qualify to drive a route, you must have experience driving a vehicle at least as large as a cargo van, but experience with a step van or large box truck is definitely preferred. We place a high value on your previous delivery experience in filling this position. You must be able to handle a package that weighs at least 80 lbs., but some routes require occasionally lifting as much as 150 lbs. with the assistance of a dolly.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Arriving to the terminal at 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM with the appropriate appearance in uniform, scanning & delivering packages, memorizing codes, picking up packages within a designated window of time, driving a large commercial step van, conducting daily pre-trip & post-trip vehicle inspections, knowledge of delivering hazardous materials, and performing superior customer service
