Job Description
THE CORPORATE SALES ENGINEER PLAYS AN INTEGRAL PART IN THE SALES CYCLE AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSISTING THE SALES ORGANIZATION WITH TECHNICAL QUESTIONS, PRESENTING OUR PLATFORM, AND ESTABLISHING CONFIDENCE IN FEEDONOMICS TECHNOLOGY. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, THE CORPORATE SALES ENGINEER MUST BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY AND UNDERSTAND A PROSPECT OR CLIENT’S TECHNICAL BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND WHETHER THOSE CAN BE SOLVED BY FEEDONOMICS.
RESPONSIBILITIES
PARTICIPATE IN ALL STAGES OF THE SALES LIFECYCLE INCLUDING:
PROVIDE TECHNICAL INPUT ON DISCOVERY CALLS
GIVE IN-DEPTH DEMONSTRATIONS OF THE FEEDONOMICS PLATFORM FOR PREMIER ADVERTISING AND EARLY MARKETPLACE DISCOVERY CALL.
REVIEW TECHNICAL DETAILS WITH FINAL DECISION-MAKERS AT THE END OF THE SALES CYCLE FOR PREMIER ADVERTISING.
ATTEND AND/OR SCHEDULE INTERNAL CALLS TO DISCUSS ANYTHING TECHNICAL RELATED TO THE OPEN DEAL.
COMMUNICATE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS IN NOTE FORMAT INSIDE OF HUBSPOT TO OPERATION TEAMS
PARTICIPATE IN ALL TEAM ACTIVITIES (WEEKLY ALL SALES MEETING, SALES CAFE, SALES DOJO, SALES ENGINEERING MEETING, SALES SUMMITS, ETC)
LEARN AND CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE THE UNDERSTANDING OF TECHNICAL DETAILS CONCERNING HOW OUR SOFTWARE WORKS AND WHAT PROBLEMS IT SOLVES FOR OUR CLIENTS
A SALES ENGINEER WILL BE PREPARED FOR ANY/ALL TECHNICAL ISSUES THAT MAY COME ABOUT. THIS IS A POSITION FOR SOMEONE WITH BOTH TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SALES SKILLS.
STAY INFORMED REGARDING CHANGES SURROUNDING THE INDUSTRY
QUALIFICATIONS:
BACHELOR'S DEGREE WITH AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN A CLIENT-FACING TECHNICAL ROLE (SALES ENGINEERING, TECHNICAL ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT, ETC)
PASSED SALES ENGINEER TIER 2 TEST AND DEMO (ANNUALLY)
PHASE 1 MARKETPLACE CERTIFIED
PREMIER ADVERTISING CERTIFIED
STRONG VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS WITH A FOCUS ON THE CLIENT EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL INFORMATION, AND ABILITY TO CONDUCTING PRODUCT DEMONSTRATIONS OF PRODUCTS/SERVICES IN A PRESENTATION
EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A FAST-PACED, CLIENT SERVICES OR SALES TEAM SUPPORTING CLIENTS, SALES TEAMS, AND/OR SAAS CUSTOMERS
EXPERIENCE IN A TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT, SPECIFICALLY DEALING WITH DATA TRANSFORMATION/EXCHANGE
PROFICIENT IN ADAPTING TO NEW SOFTWARE TOOLS AND ENVIRONMENTS
ABILITY TO WORK WITH LITTLE INSTRUCTION ON DAY-TO-DAY WORK, AND ACHIEVE RESULTS WHEN PRESENTED WITH ONLY GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS ON NEW ASSIGNMENTS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
UNDERSTANDING OF ADVERTISING CHANNELS, MARKETPLACES, AND WEB STORES SUCH AS AMAZON, EBAY, MAGENTO, SHOPIFY, ETC.
PROVEN EXPERIENCE OF WORKING WITH RECOGNIZED GLOBAL MARKETPLACES (EXPERIENCE OF AMAZON, EBAY, AND WALMART)
DIGITAL MARKETING KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
UNDERSTANDING OF ONLINE MARKETING AND ADVERTISING CONCEPTS
HISTORY OF WORKING WITH LARGE RETAIL CLIENTS AND/OR MANUFACTURED BRANDS
TECHNICAL WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF API INTEGRATIONS, WEBHOOKS, AND DATA FORMATS LIKE .CSV, .XML, JSON
