Maintenance Technician

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota (suburban location)
Compensation: $26 to $30 per hour
Provide maintenance support for a plastic injection molding facility to ensure the production of quality products with on-time delivery. This includes performing corrective and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of equipment; including plastic injection molding machines, robots, conveyors, material grinders, vacuum pumps, and hot stamping machines.
Responsibilities
• Troubleshooting and problem solving for manufacturing equipment repair
• Performs repair on plant manufacturing equipment as required
• Performs troubleshooting and repairs for manufacturing facilities as required
• Performs fabrication duties for facilities and manufacturing as required
• Performs equipment improvements as needed or required
• Understand repair of hydraulic systems
• Performs preventative maintenance functions as required for all plant equipment
• Equipment calibration as required
• Understands injection molding machine control calibration requirements and actual hands on tasks for actual calibrations
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates a plus
• Two years of maintenance experience for a plastic injection molding company
• Electricity, wiring, and Electronics knowledge is needed
• Basic plumbing skills is needed
• Understanding of Thermoplastic injection molding machine electronics, hydraulics and construction
• Understands PLC and machine control logic
• Understands most auxiliary equipment for the injection molding industry for diagnostics and repair
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic background and abilities
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
