    Job Description

    We are looking for a GRAPHIC DESIGN & MARKETING SPECIALIST to create engaging graphics for a variety of media.    You will be responsible for creating graphics including illustrations, layouts and editing photos. You’ll shape the visual aspects of product catalogs, POP materials (hang tags, signage, etc.) brochures, collateral, marketing materials and ads (digital and print) for trade publications, and sales presentations and tools. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a strong ability to translate requirements into design. 

    You will also be responsible for building and executing our social media strategy, which includes setting up and optimizing company pages within each social media platform.   As part of our marketing team, you'll help ensure we are prepared and successfully execute photo shoots and trade events/markets.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    GRAPHIC DESIGN (70% of the time)

    • Review product/design briefs and determine requirements.
    • Adjust templates or conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
    • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
    • Develop illustrations and other designs using software.
    • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic.
    • Work with Marketing Project Manager and Senior Leadership to produce final designs.
    • Upload graphics to appropriate file locations, systems or portals.
    • Amend designs after feedback.
    • Ensure final graphics and layouts are accurate, visually appealing and meet customer/company standards.

    MARKETING TEAM SUPPORT (up to 20% of the time)

    • Prepare collateral for marketing, which includes printing, cutting, packing and labeling boxes.
    • Receive collection signage for markets and inspects, packs and labels packets appropriately.
    • Order name badges from designated vendors and pack to ship to market.
    • Orders supplies and maintains equipment and preventative maintenance for in-house digital print shop.
    • Supports Photographer in completing post-processing of photography including: cropping, positing and editing images using Adobe Creative Suite.

    SOCIAL MEDIA (up to 10% of the time)

    • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
    • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
    • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
    • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community.
    • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.
    • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
    • Collaborate with other departments (sales, client service, operations) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of graphic design experience
    • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist
    • A strong portfolio of graphics
    • Expertise in using design software and technologies such as Adobe Creative Suite-- InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
    • Proficiency in using Mac-based operating systems and Microsoft Office
    • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
    • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO
    • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
    • Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills
    • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
    • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
    • Positive attitude, detail and customer-oriented
    • Effective time management skills
    • Fluency in English
    • Bachelor's Degree in Design, Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations or a related field

    WORK SCHEDULE for this position is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with no travel required.
