    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    The Program Outreach Coordinator is responsible for creating, leading, directing, and ongoing management of the Seeds of Hope Youth Leadership experience for high school girls. Click here to learn more: https://www.feliciansistersna....).  

    The Program Outreach Coordinator is also charged with implementing enhancements to the Seeds of Hope program. As the Province moves into the future, this position may be responsible for developing and implementing new programs that are similarly associated with Seeds of Hope.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Seeds of Hope Development Responsibilities

     

    • Enhances and maintains the Seeds of Hope program.
    • Convenes advisory committees as necessary.
    • Ensures that the program operates and grows in accordance with the mission statement.
    • Acts as the principal spokesperson for the program.
    • Identifies and trains Peer Mentors.
    • Arranges for the production and distribution of program materials.
    • Updates handbook, policies, and guides.
    • Arranges for speakers and coordinates the weeklong experience.
    • Supports alumnae and community relations.
    • Communicates and collaborates with Provincial Council.
    • Communicates and work in partnership with multiple provincial offices.
    • Provides information for email newsletter.
    1. Recruitment Responsibilities:
    • Develops an annual operating plan for the program.
    • Coordinates recruitment efforts.
    • Conducts interviews, maintains contacts, creates, and utilizes databases, develops, and distributes information. Responsible for processing applications.
    • Communicates and works in partnership with the staff in the Office of Mission Advancement to enhance public communications and fundraising.
    • Provides an integrated, professional leadership program that is age appropriate.
    • Provides supportive assistance post Seeds of Hope experience.
    1. Management Responsibilities:
    • Visits High schools and Parish groups to promote the Seeds of Hope program.
    • Coordinates relationships with new organizations.
    • Manages financial resources associated with the program and oversees the budget process.
    1. Maintains participant files and confidentiality for all personal and health information for program participants.

    2. Attends and participates in meetings, committees, seminars, conferences, and in-service training programs as directed.

    3. Commits to the Felician Sisters of North America's employee mission statement that promotes the dignity of each individual by supporting the needs of the whole person and by providing a safe, functional, and attractive work environment.

    4.     EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in Theology, Youth Studies, Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies, or related areas preferred.
    • Current “Safe Environment” certification as required by the Roman Catholic Church (Examples: Protecting God's Children, Darkness to Light, or the equivalent).
    • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in supervising, leading, and organizing volunteer programs and organizations is required.
    • Minimum of three (3) years' experience supervising youth and adults in a faith-based or non-profit setting is required.
    • Experience in working with diverse cultures and marginalized populations preferred.
