The Mission Development Creative Intern will play an important role in the success of FOCUS’ Mission Development efforts. The experience gained during this internship will give an overview of what development looks like at a mission oriented Catholic organization. The intern’s creation of materials highlighting FOCUS’ work on campuses across the country and his/her general support in writing and document design will be a strong aid in bringing benefactors closer to Christ and the mission of FOCUS. Their work will help lay the foundation for FOCUS to raise the needed revenue to advance its mission of launching college students into lifelong Catholic mission.

The Mission Development Intern will be tasked with writing and design responsibilities in order to build FOCUS’ relationships with national benefactors, a key source of revenue, and secure information from missionary teams on campus, compiling stories and writing regional highlights to be used in stewardship reports and proposals to benefactors. Creating and maintaining strong relationships with our benefactors is crucial to developing a healthy revenue stream and the Mission Development Creative Intern will play a key supportive role in this process.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Apps (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) is preferred but not necessary. Opportunity to learn the basics in these programs will be provided.

COMPENSATION: MD--Creative interns will be asked to fundraise $4,000 by May 1, 2022, and will receive an additional $1,200 stipend from FOCUS upon achievement of fundraising goal. They will receive weekly fundraise coaching from a FOCUS staff member from the time of hire until the fundraising goal is met.

HOURS: Interns at the DSC are expected to work 40 hours/week from May 31, 2022 -- July 29,2022.
