    POSITION SUMMARY

    We are looking for a talented and passionate Web Development Intern to join our dedicated team for Summer 2022. This opportunity is perfect for someone with a sharp mind and technical skills to grow in various aspects of front and back-end web development. The Web Development Intern will aid in updating and creating the applications overseen by our team, assist in other web-related projects as necessary, and experience how our team lives out Mission through our work at the Support Center.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

    Projects may include, but will not be limited to:

    • Write custom HTML, PHP (Laravel), CSS, and JavaScript for existing websites and applications
    • Design, recommend, and pitch improvements to new and existing features
    • Resolve software bugs reported by end users
    • Write SQL scripts to create custom data sets
    • Design web-based graphical reports using complex data and filtering

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    FORMAL EDUCATION

    • Pursuing an Undergraduate degree in a technical field

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

    • Relational databases (PostgreSQL)
    • Front end web development (HTML / CSS)
    • JavaScript / jQuery / Vue
    • PHP Framework (Laravel)
    • Version control (git / Mercurial)
    • Linux and Windows server administration

    COMPENSATION: IT interns will receive a competitive hourly wage and an additional monthly stipend for rent and/or travel.

    HOURS: Interns at the DSC are expected to work 40 hours/week from May 31-July 29. There will be opportunities for mentorship, spiritual formation, and fellowship.
