    Job Description:

    Uncommon Sports Group (USG) is a Christ-centered non-profit organization with a mission to connect, encourage, and equip Christians working throughout the college and professional sport industry. Through faith-based training, resources, and relationships, we develop Christ-centered leaders who can make a lasting impact for God's Kingdom.

    We are seeking an Engagement Associate to join our team and help fulfill this mission by fostering the professional and spiritual growth of college students, young professionals, and current leaders in the sport industry. This role is vital in achieving the mission of connecting, encouraging, and equipping disciples of Jesus Christ and transforming the sport industry for God’s glory.

    The Engagement Associate will build meaningful connections, provide guidance, and contribute to USG’s efforts to recruit and support members. Additionally, this position requires fundraising to support your ministry work. You will build a team of financial supporters who will partner with you to advance USG’s mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    Embody USG’s core values and celebrate their demonstration in others.

    Provide professional and spiritual support to participants before, during, and after the USG Academy experience.

    Cultivate authentic relationships among members and supporters of USG.

    Plan and lead key initiatives, including summer mission trips, Bible studies, virtual events, and conferences.

    Expand USG’s network by forming connections within the collegiate and professional sport industry and promoting programs like Clean Out For A Cause®.

    Drive recruitment efforts by presenting educational materials to prospective participants.

    Build and maintain a team of financial supporters who contribute directly to your ministry work and salary.

    Assist the Executive Leadership Team in strategic planning, program development, and donor stewardship.

    Travel domestically and internationally 5-6 times per year to lead events and foster relationships.

    Role Information

    Type: Full-time, salaried position

    Support Raising: Required, with increasing support goals over time

    Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (flexibility required for events and travel)

    Location: Greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area (hybrid)

    Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience and skills

    Reports to: Director of Ministry

    Qualifications

    Strong biblical and theological knowledge aligned with God’s Word and USG’s Statement of Faith

    Passion for discipleship and missions, with a focus on developing Christ-centered leaders

    Exceptional training, coaching, and communication skills

    Highly organized and detail-oriented

    Preferred Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s degree

    Experience in discipleship, student leadership, or missions work

    Background in collegiate or professional athletics

    Demonstrates a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

    Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
