The Dietary Aide will assist in food preparation and serving and to clean the kitchen and dining area under the supervision of the Dietary Services Director or Cook. Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks. Assist in checking trays of menu and diet preferences and for accuracy. Ensure proper storage of food and supplies. Ensure that food and supplies are available for the next meal, assist in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies. Attend orientation and in-service as required by the federal, state, and company guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Handling food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures
• Delivering and retrieving food carts to and from the customer area
• Assisting in serving food on the tray line, washing pots and pans and performing daily cleaning duties

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Previous dietary experience
• Experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred
